TURBO400

OK We put in a 42 slow jet, 2-1/2 turns on pilot and a 185 keihn main jet. Started right up cold, set RPM to approx 3000+, Applied load of 3rd gear(bike is on stand) ran for 30 minutes. Had fan blowing on engine. Stock head pipes glowed red for entire test. Melted covering on clutch cable. Drained engine oil at end of test. It was practically boiling. Applying and removing airbox cover made no change in glow. Punched throttle just before end of break in to check if lean. No hesitation. Upon release of throttle engine quit. I guess it was too hot to idle. Please help! Also what re torquing is required after this break in period? As stated earlier we started with a 400ex, K&N filter, FMF pipe, 170 main (keihn), 38 slow, 2-1/4 turns out on pilot, needle in stock (3rd) position. Upon tear down, black plug, header and exhaust ports suggest we were running rich. Rebuild was bore and hone to 416, 10.8:1 compression, stage 1 hot cam and re jetting as described above. Help!
