need some proven ideas on how to prevent the famous pipe burnhole on the rear plastic.

Ive seen people take a pop can and cut the top and bottom off then rivet that to the plastic and I did do that on my old 250ex. works good.

I wrapped the entire exhaust with header wrap. Works great and keeps the heat in the pipe to burn all of the gasses.

I did that to my old header and it rusted really bad. It traps moisture and corrodes the pipe fast.

They have that heat resistant tape;) Pick some up from the hardware store, and slap it on:blah:

awsomeaussies has a good solution, there is tape, like the stuff on the 400ex by the pipe that helps protect the plastic from the heat.
