I've got a .250 swinger skid and it's rubbing the chain. The whole chain side of the skid is bent up at a pretty significant angle. I tried putting it in a vise and pressing against it, but this thing is too tough for me to bend.

Does anybody have any ideas? Or does somebody want a good deal on a bent PRM skid? :D

take any off the rubber guides that might be on it off and put it in the vise again but tis time heat it up with a torch then bend it, it will be MUCH easier ;)

Thanks, I'm going by my dads to borrow his torch tonight!

What do I use to put the chain strip back on with?

I have a Pro Armor skid, same deal, the chain wear strip is Riveted on. I'd suggest using a press to straighten it up, and be careful with a torch it'll melt that aluminum real quick!

yeah defenitly go easy on the torch lol and if you have a choice just use a propane torch, not an oxy-acetelyn sp? or mapp gas, they would probably be too hot and would melt the aluminum
