top speed on a 440

ok i have a 440 12.5:1 and was woundering wat is the top speed on it i have quite a few more mods then that dun.

If you have stock gearing then 70-75. I have a 13t on the front and I run 60-63.

The top speed does not change with the bigger engine. You can now get to that top speed faster than before. Change the gearing and you will get a different top speed.

Exactly, what it does do is get you there much faster!

if you call stunstar sprockets they can set you up with a 32 tooth rear sprocket. I have one sitting there for me, just need to send them 120$. lol.

I'm not shure how much engine it takes to pull a 32 tooth sprocket tho....

Shouldn't a 32 tooth be compairable to 16/36? If so I have seen it done on mild 416s.

I have had a 16 on my quad, dident make a diffrence at all at the time.... not shure if I dident have the power to max it out

what about a 16/32. my guess is 90mhp.

I have a 16t on mine and it does between 85-90

I had my 400ex GPS'D at 80.27 that was w/ 20" tires i now have 22" tires. i got stopped by a cop. He didn't clock me but he said i was goin to fast to not have a helmet on.

I cant remember what I had for power, but when I was running my 16t front sprocket, I actually seemed to be going slower???

I am pretty shure I was running my 416 with exaust and filter. but I dont think I had my aftermarket carb at the time....

The only thing I have done to mine is K&N air filter & powerlid, DT Dyno rev box, and a full titanium FMF exhaust w/ stock gears.

Friday I am droppin it off for the 416 kit w/ a 10.8:1 JE piston, Stage 2 hot cam, droppin a tooth a front sprocket, and my dual LTE exhaust. I want more throttle reponse than top end. My name 450R chaser is b/c my brother in law has one and I usually behind him on bottom end.

I will be on a dyno next week sometime like wed or tues 2-1-06 or 2-2-06. The shop says they need a good tach on quad or results will be incorrect. will post the results then.
