thank you for posting you tracks it gave me some good ideas

01-23-2006, 09:22 AM
what is a suitible material for building these tracks.

loam, sand, ext....

My dad used to be in the excovation buisness, he stockpiled a pile of crushed gravel that is about 30+++ feet high, this pile is HUGE. lol. Im shure he wouldent mind selling me 10 loads or so for cheep. if it would work for a track,,,. some of the rocks are kinda big in it, must have had the crusher set at 3 in or somthing....

loam is the best then regualar dirt but if u must use rocks then cover it with a nice covering of dirt but i would not recomend using rocks

I was going to post a bunch more, but I just realised while looking at my pics, their all old. I need to get updated pics... Also they aren't good to see what is what... I say use what ever you can and try to fill over the garbage when you can.

01-23-2006, 05:33 PM
launching to the step down...it feels so high when u do it cuz ur over looking the whole track

01-23-2006, 05:38 PM
im 15 and built the whole track by myself...i used my dads kubota 5030 cab tractor to build it. right now it looks really bad because all the bad weather and the tractor is a house my dad is building. when it is here i change the track almost every week and when it gets back i am making everything go the opposite direction from what it is now. i've been using the tractor since i was like 12 so im pretty quick on it. once it gets a little nicer out ill get somebody to take pics of my hitting all the jumps

yea...its 70ft from the top of the launching to the down slope on the landing...3rd gear wide open on my 450r...it looks small there because i was standing ontop of a like 10ft tall landing

i also think its a nice track but its also probably one of the most UNsafe tracks ive seen too. If i were you i would work on making the landings a little bigger. Bigger as in taller, wider and longer.

Other than that it looks nice.

That's a pretty sweet track D6mx450r. Were in harrisburg do you live? Are you pretty close to Rausch Creek? I ride there as much as possible in the summer. Me and my friend already have a 60 foot double we just built. Bye the end of the summer we'll have the gap around 80'.

Here are some pictures...
