400ex's are air cooled. the little wing things on the engine are for the air.

the little rad at the front is an oil cooler. its air cooled thats why there is fins on the engine.

Send the engine to me and ill do a radiator test to make sure its fine and put in the right coolant for you, it sucks when they blow the head gasket and coolant goes in the engine. How's $250 sound, thats including shipping?
