i raced my buddie who has a 440ex. we started going and we where almost dead equal to the end he only pulled away by about 1 quad lenght after we had them full out in 5th pinned! all i have done to mine is a high comp piston and cam!! he has the 440 kit and cam! y did i keep up with him!?!?!?!? i was thinkin about getting the kit but if thats all it does 1 quad legnth im gonna forget about it!!!!!!

maybe he's not actually pushing it as hard as you are? some people are hesistant about using full throttle.

Traction, rider weight and rider skill all play a big part in who wins a drag race. The only way to get a true measure of the quad's ability is to have a good rider do a few timed runs with each quad.

IMO, 440's are not drag motors, they don't rev quick enough to suit me. A smaller displacement that will rev quicker and higher is a better choice for drag races (now here comes the flames from 440 owners:o :D)
