Black Maier hood

Who sells a black Maier hood for a 250r? I tried my local dealer, and he couldn't find one. He only found red, blue or white. Is it hard to make an R hood work on a 400ex?

order it directly for maier at www.maier-mfg.com. i just ordered one this week. it is called a smoothy hood for a 250r. pretty easy to fit on a 400, from what i understand.

The hood just attaches with 4 screws, right ?
Does it come with the screws ? It says that they are
only $36 according to Maier's website, I think thats a pretty good deal.

I was thinking about ordering a Dark Blue one, along with the Dark Blue side panels, and changing everything that is red on my quad to dark blue plus getting a trick custom seat cover with light blue, dark blue, yellow and silver in it.:devil

that's a good question, i don't know if it's the shiney stuff or not. i just ordered a black one. i seem to remember hearing that all the new maier stuff would be the shiney kind, but i may be dreaming that.
