450r vs. banshee?

I disagree. I think it will be close. My buddy had a stock 02 banshee and an 05 450R with a pipe and filter. The 450 destroyed it in a drag race. Every gear it would pull away more, same results when we switched riders. Now if the shee had pipes and filters, then I would say they would be pretty close, but I still think the 450 would take it.

I think the banshee would take the R. A set of pipes and silencers and an air filter really wakes up the banshee. JMO

My buddies banshee is pretty modified. Air filter, pipes, and i think i remember him telling me it was slightly bored but not much. I got the pipe, KN, Stage II, and jets going and he takes me about everytime when we hit the 5th-6th gear range. I usually always get the jump on him and even pull a little but once he hits that 6th gear it walks with it. But then again, my JE 13:1 is on its way :).

Yep... banshee for the drag, 450r elsewhere. Banshees are hands down one of the- if not the best drag machine/s out there. Stock they come resticted like crazy... but once you open them up those things fly!

what should I get, the 450r or the banshee? I ride in the woods, in large fields, and on my friends track.

Definately the 450r. The banshee is an awesome bike but with that type of riding the 450 is going to be a hands down nicer bike for most. You may also want to look into the 400's for that type of riding... they can do very well also. Of course, though, it is going to take much more work than to just get the 450 to make the 400 keep up.

I've beaten shees before in drags..i run 8.09 sec on 1/8 mile dirt/grass.
