I have an 06 YFZ 450 and was thinking of using Amsoil fully synthetic oil. Do I use 10w40 or 0w40?

Is that oil specifically for bikes or for cars? If for cars it is not good for the clutch. Bike oil has additives for the clutch.

thats what I use. For the weight of oil you are just supposed to go with the temperature you are riding in, the colder it is outside the lower the number on the container. For the winter I'd run the 0w40.

Make sure you are getting the 10w-40 Advanced Synthetic Motorcycle oil that is made for high performance air and liquid cooled engines with wet clutches. Dealer cost is only $6.30 a qt. Retail is $8.40 This is the best oil available.

I heard AMSOIL is good. Can ya just switch over from the Honda Oil?

It's fine to switch oils, but it's bad to go back and forth.

if you plan on getting a lot of stuff through them become a member they will give you 20 or 25% each order. Its only $20, so if your buying a good amount of oil through them it pays itself on the first purchase. For me, i bought a $100 case of two-stoke oil for my sled and my brothers. it ended up coming to 75 plus shipping. Not to meantion I plan on ordering another case and then come spring im gonna get oil for my quad through them too.

o ya and the case shipped in two days so it was sweet. the women i talked to said prob 5-7 days so i dont know why it came so quick hopefully its always like that.
