Weak Ignition

After installing CT 330 kit, 40.5mm carb I started jetting with 111 octane fuel and found out I need more spark any one used the MSD or Dynatek?

Try closing your spark plug gap down to .020". Stock ignitions work great.

Stock ignitions are a bit weak for a modded 250R, but by running .018 to .020" plug gap, it will maintain a more consistent spark.

I'm pretty impressed with the janseen super coil I recently picked up, made quite a difference.

I already tried the gap down it did help. I just picked up the MSD set up I guess I will try that?

What exactly is your sparking issue? I would guess you may have some jetting issues. Stock ignitions work very well (hint: an aftermarket cdi box gave me -hp for 3 lg ones).
