ok, in febuary, im getting a 450r, ive got a guy waiting for my 250r but i really wanted to keep the axle, will it fit on an '06 450R? i know that the a-arms and everything wont fit, but i figured i'd save some money by keeping the axle. any help is appreciated.

I just put a 250r RPM axlein my 450r. Have to use the 250r wheel hubs, the 450r hubs are smaller diameter on the inside. I also had to call RPM and order a 450r sprocket hub. 1 other thing is that the 250r used a longer axle nut (the splined piece with the threads on the outside) the 450r one will work but there is not much spline engagement for my likes. I have a new splined part coming, as the threads on the nut on 250 versus 450 are the same. Once the sprocket hub was on and layed out side by side to the 450 stocker everything lined up perfect, with the exception of less spline lenght for the nut.

john,
so if i have a 250r axle, hubs, and anti fade hub....all i need is a 450r sproket hub?

actually, i couldnt use the 250r anti fade unless i was able to use the R rotor.the 450 uses a 3 bolt rotor and he R uses a 4 bolt.now that i think about it, it probably still wont work because the part of the hub that goes into the carrier must be differnt thats why you have to change the sprocket hub.i would have to use the stock brake hub for the 450 and just use the stock R locking nuts, right john?
get some pics posted john.

I know with the lsr axles, you can press off the stock 450r hub and put it on the axle you are using! We put a 450r axle on a 250r, we just had to swap off the sprocket hubs!

Tell me what ya got. You need the 450r sprocket hub, so that the chain and sprockets all line up. The part of the hub that the seal rides on is the same outside diameter for both. Try using your anti fade and make sure the rotor lines up in the caliper. Too late for pics it's all together and didn't think of taking any.

I used the stock 450r brake hub. I have a 250r axle nut spline coming because i don't use an aftermarket antifade.
