How much more?

On my 400 ex I have all the mods listed below... I am going to put a hotcam stage II in and also a higher comp. piston. How much more will i gain with boring it out to a 426 or 440 than just leaving it stock bore with the piston and cam?

the bore will get you 1-3 hp.

Compression will be more of a factor than bore size.

The bore size comes back into play again when you improve the air intake. .... Carb, porting, valves, cam.. etc. But the current setup bore isn't a huge difference. But the larger bore is gonna take better to the intake mods you might do in the future.

why dont you buy a ds-650 turbo if you want so much power?

The turbo's are like 4000$ all i want is to keep up with the piped z400's and the 450's in the sand.
