I have an 02 400EX.
It has a full big gun exhaust, UNI filter and UNI airbox lid vents.

It has good pull on the top end but I'd like a little more power off the line without giving up much top end power.
What do you guys recommend for jetting for my setup (main, needle setting and pilot) and where is the best place to purchase jets?

Thanks

are you still running stock jets? if so try a 160 or 165 main...leave the needle alone until you get good color on the plug.

The jets aren't stock. I can't remember what they are now though. I was hoping someone might just have the same mods as I do and could recommend something that worked for them. Where did you purchase your jets?

I heard the K&N jet kit only works with the K&N filter. Will they work with a UNI setup?

Get a 14 tooth front sprocket. It may rob a little from the top end but not much. Especially since you have a pipe and filter. It will give you more torque on the bottom end and only costs about $20.

Cool, I'll order the K&N setup then. And I have a 14 tooth but heard it makes it rev up to fast and you end up having to shift all the time.

a lot of people like and want their bike to rev fast...most people that have the 14t front sprocket felt a strong need for more low end torque so they can wheelie on command in most gears and get the holeshot in the races., and in some cases run taller tires.

Sounds like I'll be putting the 14 tooth on this weekend. Thanks for the advice.
