hey i have a 300ex wit a k&n i have been hitting jumps with it and the airfilter keeps fallin off anybody else have this problem and what to fix it beside duct tape..lol

You might check your filter clamp, it might be broke, or loose.

no, the clamp is good and it tightens up and loosens nothing is wrong with the air filter it is the air box the lip has been shaved i was wondering if anybody had an answer beside buyin a different airbox and does anybody have a 300ex airbox for sale

Well the shaved lip isn't going to help any.. but first make sure you have the correct filter.

The 250x filter is commonly given out for the 300ex. It is one of the few parts that wont quite work right between the two.

The 250x filter has a slight taper. The flange where it fits up to the box is a bit shorter too, and is wht it doesn't fit up well on a 300ex.

Check the part# on the box the filter came in. See part# on picture below.

Almost everyone that complains about the 300ex K&N filter falling off are usually using the 250x version from my experience.

i have the correct air filter then i can pick a used airbox on ebay for like 20 bucks is that what you would recommend

take the air filter out and put some black electrical tape around the part that goes into the clamp and make it snug then tighten it down.:D thats the best thing i could think about doing

Take the air filter off. put a clean cloth in the intake, take hairspray and spray it around the edge of the intake then pull the cloth out and put the filter back on. it should hold for awhile but just keep checking it after awhile.

I installed a used 400ex proflow itno the stock air boot and through the stock air box hole
