This is right from the GNCC website

6. Sport (ATV) - Must have OEM motor and matching frame combination model, and be restricted to the following models: Honda 250X, 250EX and 300EX; Kawasaki Mojave 250 and Lakota 300; Polaris Trail Blazer; Suzuki Quad Sport 230, 250 and Z-250; Yamaha Blaster and Warrior, and Kymco Mongoose 250 and 300. Modifications are permitted. Maximum engine displacement is 350cc.

We have several members here that race sport class. You might want to make a thread about it in the racing forum. You will get some replies from racers there.

I plan on racing the sport class this year. I don't have a 300ex yet, but I'm planning on one for spring. Bradley300 should be able to answer any questions you need. Check his blaster build-up in the under 350cc forum.

that a really nice 300, that what we were going along the lines of for his build, but a lil more dumbed down, since this is his first year

maybe a 300ex
-elka rec shocks
-douglas yellow labels w/ holeshot hds
-new bearing carrier
-some fat bars
-high comp piston, an appropriate cam, and an exhaust sytem
-plastics of whatever he wants
-ims pegs
-bigger gas tank
-skids and bumpers where needed

im thinking this should keep him happy until he get the hang of racing, and the basics of quad riding

what do you think?
