Just about all cams will just take power from somewhere and put it somewhere else. bottom to top, top to bottom

I dont know about the best but a good all round cam would be the new stage 2 from hot cam.

HRC all the way for that piston! Blows the Hotcam stage 2 out of the water. It acts like a top end cam, but without the low-end loss. Very smooth and flat power spread, revs hella fast

I haven't seen to many people with one because they are more pricey, but you gotta pay to play. You won't be disappointed :D

I have a 11:1 440 and just mainly ride trails and open fields, should I go with a HRC too? I have seen where some people say to run a stage 1 or 2 hotcam but I havent read where someone has the HRC in a 11:1 440.

I wish I went with the HRC on my 416, not that im disappointed with the old hc2. I just wanted my 416 to make power right to the limiter like my 450r does.

The stage 2 hc [old one] makes good power, but I waisted my money with the rev box since the 416 never hits the limited anyways. I have only ridden one 426ex and it had the hrc cam. it pulled to the limiter.

BTW for those that didn't know the HRC for the EX is actually the dirtbikes cam. Honda never made one for the EX.

^^ You're right the HRC is a dirtbike cam (XR400). Still virtually the same motor, and the HRC was specifically designed by Honda for that motor, that is where they are superior to others.

I'm pretty sure Servicehonda.com still stocks them. If they are out, call up Lazarus at GT Thunder, he can hook you up for a decent price ;) :)
