Nausty

heres a pic of the inside from a long time ago. It actually can hold 2 quads and probably another dirt bike in the back if arranged right and another 2 in the front part that acts as a shelf inside. We measured it and it will fit our 125 in there and the yz80 facing the opisite direction.

Nausty, how are u getting your quads into the back of your truck. I have been thinking about getting the same thing, but I have been trying to come up with some good idea of how to get my quad into the back by myself. I don't like the regular ramps because they are so steep.

07-09-2002, 10:35 AM
i might hav one of our new one, let me look

pick the front up and put it in and then pick the back up and push. this works for me.

Doibugu2
07-09-2002, 11:32 AM
You can do that by yourself? I can lift mine in if it is like 2 feet off the ground, but the truck bed is 3-1/2 to 4 feet high. You can lift your quad that high by yourself. Am I that big of a puss?

no i'm not that strong, i can only bench 135. i use all my strength but i can usually manage to get the cannibal in the back of a pickup, sometimes with a little help. it shouldn't be a problem with two people.

Doibugu2
07-09-2002, 12:04 PM
I have an F150 too, me and a buddy can lift it in no problem. We do it the way he said. But I cannot do It by myself. I cannot lift the front end up that high.

Sleeping Catfish
07-09-2002, 12:05 PM
maybe the cannibal is a lot lighter.

FullBore52
07-09-2002, 12:40 PM
I can get my shee into the back of an F-150 no problem...Just pick the front end up onto the tail gate, roll it ahead until the bottom of the frame touches the tail gate, then pick the back up...its pretty easy actually!

roostin_dale
07-09-2002, 04:34 PM
Oh well i better shut up now! Maybe its cuz im only 13! im not as strong as you guys! Now can we get back to the subject!

derekhonda
07-09-2002, 04:37 PM
HAHAHA are you guys serious??? You can't lift your quad into a pickup truck???? Its simple: Turn your Gas off; Put it in first gear (for leverage); Go around to the front and lift up and push back; Put it in nuetral and roll it up till the front wheels are on your gate; Squat down and stand up with the back end off your quad and push it in.

Doibugu2
07-09-2002, 05:04 PM
Never thought to do it that way Derek. I was trying to lift the front end up while I was in the truck bed.:o

I'll bet you can't do that. But I am sure I can do it the way you described. Have to try that when I get home.

Nausty
07-09-2002, 05:25 PM
is how we put it in is we got some really long ramps my dad made and he made a couple of holes into where you put the ramps on the back of the truck so that you can drop the ramp bolts or whatever he has at the end of the ramp so it sticks on there and we just ride it up and it is really sturdy and long and pretty light. It really isn't that hard and doesn't take to long. And no catfish its almost impossible to lift it in there if you don't back into something or use ramps because there is steps in the way. Also my dad is looking for a cheap winch or soemthing to mount into the back of the box so that is all you have to do is attach it to the bumper and pull it up.

we are definitely glad we got the truck like we did because you can hardly get a single axle small trailer for that price. I know I like ours a lot but your gonna need a good set up for ramps so that it clips in and you can just ride up. hang on i'll get a picture of what we used for ramps.

Its funny that you can find a box van in decent condition cheaper than a trailer in good condition, you just need to make up some ramps. If you get lucky and get one with the long center ramp you can just take it out and slide in whatever double ramp set up you get.

Yeah but, With 550 horses:D she pulls like there is NO tomorrow. We actually bought a F350 Turbo Deisel(sp?) SuperCrew Dually a few days ago so we are looking at getting a 40' 5th wheel in the next week or so.

Here is a pic of our tiny 6x10 trailer. My wife pulls it with her X-terra...........we let the kids sleep in it. It is actually very comfortable. 3000 watt generator, 13" tv with DVD, Pioneer super tuner III with 4 6x9's and comfy beds.

If you dont believe me, heres a pic from the inside, the 416 is in the back. I wasnt out going to take pics of the trailor at the national that weekend. I was actaully taking a pic of my bud (joe) thats on the white 250r that came with us that weekend.

Its a 53ft long by 13ft high by 8ft wide, and towing it is a Ford 8000 series with a 1992 CAT motor in it.

we pulll our trailor with a 2001 freightliner with a series 60 Detroit with 500 horses. Our semi is 32 feet long, we are putting a lift gate on the back of it for the next Jolly Roger race. The front of the trailor is the sleeping area- 12x8, and the rest(20x8) is where the quads go, and where we work on them. We also installed two 55 gallon fuel tanks under the trailor for water, so we can power wash all the quads off after each moto. Ill get some better pics of it tomorrow

On the sides of our tractor is one 150 gallon drum on each side of water (300 gallons of water for the pressure washer). And 2 55 gallon drums of water are inside the trailor for the shower and sinks.

Hey everyone w/ a semi.....how much did they cost! For the whole semi??

derekhonda
07-11-2002, 09:36 PM
My dads semis cost about 90,000.00 brand new and a brand new 48-53 foot trailer is about 45,000.00. You can find some semis that are just a few years old for about 50g, and some older ones (that dont look to healthy) ive seen go as cheap as 15,000.00

Yeah they got alot of money. This kid is 15 and has a 90 mod cr 80 quad that he races and he's got a walsh crf440 sitting in his garage for when he turns 16. His brothers all have walsh crf440's and 265R's. They are all top of the line bikes. He even has his own track in his back yard with backhoes and escavaders.

Dave400ex
07-12-2002, 02:01 PM
Man I wish we were rich. We would have the biggest Parts store in the world, I would make sure of that. Plus we would have all the Quads we wanted and skip the Totorhome we would call Featherlite and get a rig from them like the Nascar drivers have. Man what a life that would be. lol.

Nausty
07-12-2002, 09:12 PM
hehe I could imagine if I had that kinda money I would have a walsh framed yz450f with axis long travel shocks with red plastic and a carbon fiber hood scoop and white powdercoated frame and a LOT of chrome parts. And equpment and a truck and lots of kicker ramps:D man that seems a little overkill though going with a 200k truck and trailer to haul a 90 and a couple of other quads. I mean come on how many of us need to take 20 quads and a entire garage with us in a trailer? Also if you got huge backyard track with a ton of equipment? I would never leave.

My neighbor is a Pace dealer and on the way to Ohio to ride he explained why Pace is so good. Trust me there is many extra things Pace does that other companies don`t do. If you can get a Pace get a Pace it is worth every penny, and there`s a lot of pennies for one of those Trailers.

ok you guys havent seen anything for just a local racer like i have. Ok at Jolly Rogers on the dirtbike circuit a guy named Chad Charbenue has his own section paved and water hook ups and everything. HE OWNS THAT PART OF THE PIT right behind the gate. Well anyway he comes in with his motor home and then behind him pulls up one of those big Semi trucks and in that semi is three crf450r bikes, but this semi is all decked out for motocross. Its CRAZY. they call it Charbenue Row.
