Well,I opened up my LRD AND THERE WAS NONE no packing at all.And from what im told (and learned) this can hinder you motor quite a bit.I got FMF 4 stroke high density packing.And my throttle responce is GREAT now.Id have to say anyone looking to make your motor a little smoother check your pipe...you might not have any packing left lol.

Yeah, any manufacturer recommends at least checking the packing after about 30 hours, replacement at least at 60 hours or when it starts getting annoyingly loud.

Oh., by the way, Moose offers pillow packing that's already sewn and packed, all you have to do is slip it over the muffler core and put it back in. Real easy.
