'06 HRC Kit

For those of you who have the HRC Kit on the '06...did you leave the airbox lid off? The manual says to leave the lid off but I don't really like the way it sounds with it off.

I left it off. Does the manual actually say to leave it off? All I could find in the manual was a warning that you will have to clean the filter more often with this kit. The sounds like it's meant to be installed without the lid but I couldn't find anywhere it came right out and told you.

Yeah, that's what I meant...the manual implies that the lid be left off since it says to remove the retainer clips (which I didn't). I may try it with the lid on and see what happens.

You're going to be too rich with the lid on unless you rejet. You can pull the snorkel out of the lid and that might help, but I imagine it'll still fall flat up top. I personally like the throaty sound it gives without the lid.
