air filter help pleeeese

is there any other way to clean my airfilter other than buying a kit or something this is for a 2-stroke kx 125 dirtbike
can i just soak it or something and just towel dry it and stick it back on or do i have to put oil on it

Go out and spend $10 to buy some filter oil and cleaner. You must oil it after you have cleaned it. The oil is what catches most of the dirt. If you run it with no oil, it will just let stuff pass right on through. Is it a foam filter or what?

i got the oil now do i ABSOLUTLY need the cleaner or can i just clean it with pinesol or something

dip it in some gasoline, squeeze it a couple times, and then let it air dry it will be as good as new

Just use warm soapy water to wash it then rinse well. Squeeze out the excess water then let it air dry completely. Re-oil with the appropriate oil.
