I would definitely use that time and gas money towards a legal riding area closer to your home. All of us in CT have had to adopt a new way of riding, with eyes in the back of your head and at least 4 exits from any given place ;)

Old like you guys? I'm 36. I didn't realize I was old. I like to think of myself as "seasoned". I'll be in touch when it gets a little warmer. This old guy don't ride much in the cold, unless it's plowing the driveway with the Grizzly when it snows! :D

Yep. They were trying to do that in Newtown, too. I'm not sure if they succeeded or not. Newtown is not a good place to ride, especially in the sand pit off the tracks that D'darrios owns. It's a magnet for DEP.

They didn't used to bother people too much there until a few years ago when some "moron" decided to shoot up one of the guards shacks at the street entrance. There's a couple people that live next to the property that call as soon as they hear a bike. Used to be fun there!

The pits near me are really good.....multiple jumps, nice trails, excellent parking.

Hi, I'm from Middletown. My boyfriend and I are always looking for new place to ride. We have a few areas we go to but we have to watch our back...as usual in CT. We went to Maybrook NY last week with a bunch of friends and some members from NortheastATVers.com. It was a great time.

portland has some real nice trails and a mx track.
middletown...by the res is all trails and very rocky.
burlington. Tons of trails....nice private track we have with 3/4 jumps and nice corners.

suppose to be a huge place in milford....

windsor has a GREAT deal of trails and multiple trails...

How many of y'all are registered in MA? I registered last year and only made it up once and it was to Tolland and the Pipeline Trail. Holy rocks! Every minute of riding = $5 of repairs. I am looking into doing a couple weekend trips this year - probably to Pittsfield State Forest unless someone here knows of a better spot, or better yet, has some land they wouldn't mind playing tour guide on. :D

We're looking too, Newtown here, my son races a 450R in NEATV, he's 16, I'm way older than dirt.
We had a nice little track on our property for 10 years, his stuff has out grown the track, too bad.
Rocky Hill is all we've found in state.
He's dying to run his fresh new racer. Keep us in mind.

i'm from Easton, CT and soon enough i get out of school for a week on break. our spring break is from april 14-23. i'm 18 and i ride a yz426 hybrid all decked out and setup for MX. a friend or two and i are planning to head to rocky hill MX if we can get there. i'm gonna see if my boss will let me borrow one of his many enclosed box trailers so we can head up for some fun. one friend has a slightly modded blaster; he's 15; and the other only a 250ex; he's 17. i'll probably be competing in NEATV this season, and never raced MX, just practiced for GNCC racing, but never got to race b/c my 250r blew up, so i need to hit up a track ASAP. if anybody is going between the dates i listed, then let me know.
