If your going with the 88 style plastic, I would go with gloss black PC for the frame, swingarm, and lower a-arms. Then have the upper a-arms chromed. That would look sweet!

You can only powdercoat the upper a arms, because you can remove the ball joints from those. If you powdercoat stock a arms, the heat will dammage the boot for the ball joint. If your going with the stock 88/89 style red plastics, nothin looks better than a honda red frame with those plastics. A white frame and red or black swing arm would also look killer.

I was talking about aftermarket a-arms because he said a lot of new parts will coming for it so I figured he would buy new a-arms as well.

I was saying that more so that he would know that, incase he was planning on getting them P/C.

I hate to tell you to hit it with a hammer but, If you go to Lowes and buy one of those long pieces of aluminum stock (about 3 foot long or shorter) and make sure it is a solid heavy one about 1/2 inch thick, it will be a valuable tool for prying other things. You can stand the quad up on the rear and use a dead blow hammer and carefully and firmly hold the rod against the ball joint (or what ever it is you're trying to jolt) and wack the end of the rod. Be patient, between strikes and make sure you're lined up. It will keep you from damaging more than one spot and you won't mess up your a-arms nearly as bad... This is what I used to get swingarm pivot bolts loose too. Sometimes just harpooning the damn thing with the weight of the rod alone is enough to get it loose but you have to use the a-arms as a kind or slide guide. Sometimes a heavier hammer (metal to metal) is better than a rubber dead blow hammer. Hope this helps!

ok ive decided on a red translucent frame so here are soem options for the rest of the quad

1.) Red frame/red platics

2.) Red frame/black plastics

3.) Red frame/ white plastics

this is how i would order them by favoritism but i want your opinions

I would go with the white plastics. I don't like how it looks when you mix defferent variations of the same color, such as honda red, and trans red. The trans red is one of those colors that will match alot of other colors. If it was me I would stay away from red, and black. Yellow, blue, and silver are other colors that would look good. I think that the dark kinda metalic silver that fullbore has would look really good.
