We usually go on long trail rides and sometimes i lead and sometimes i don't. My goggles always get muddy to where i can't see and have to stop and clean them off which is a pain. I was wondering if anyone has a pair of tear-off goggles and can give me some feedback. They do look alot better than roll-offs since they clear the whole view. Just post your experience and/or opinions with tear-off goggles.

I have both tear off and roll off systems, and the Scott works system with both. If your going on long, muddy rides, go with roll offs. Of your racing a say 10 lap moto, go with tearoffs. Oakley has the best tearoff system with their laminated ones. You ccan stack about 28 on without sacraficing vision, because the lamination prevents light refraction between the tearoffs. BUt with oakleys you have to remeber that every time you pull a tearoff its costing you a buck, bacause a laminated 25 pack is about $25. I have a deal with Utopia, and I really like their goggles. They don't offer laminated tearoffs yet, but look for them before the AMA outdoor nationals start. I can stack about 20 on my goggles and can still see ok. I would, however reccomend that you modify the tearoffs a bit. They are made for a simple 2 goggle post-fold over system. I made my own 3rd clip on my goggle strap, and then I use a sewing needle to make a 3rd hole in the tearoff so I can stack them like scotts. If you have any specific questions just ask.
