OK when im riding my quad and you give it a lot of gas the power will hit like 1 second later. It doesnt bog down or anything the power is just delayed. I was told to check the accelerator pump adjustment because if it doesnt bog its not getting enough initial fuel during the pump shot. Is this right and how do you adjust it to fix this problem? Thanks

Yes, a accelerator pump is a small chamber inside your carb that holds gas. It is linked to the throttle arm, and when the throttle is engaged linkage from the throttle arm pushes a pin into the accelerator pumps chamber and forces fuel out a gas line and into the throat of the carb.
The advantage of a accelerator pump is it is easier to start and you have alot better response and power in the lower rpms due to the burst of fuel. Carbs without and accelerator pump rely on the suction created by the motor to start sucking the fuel out of the carb.
I would check the operation of your accelerator pump. Take the carb off your bike, make sure there is still gas in the float bowl of the carb and hit the throttle. If fuel comes out in a stream the pump is working. It usually shoots the fuel a couple feet.

Yes, there is an accelerator pump but it does NOT have an adjustment.

Actually you can adjust the accelerator pumps fuel output, they sell different resistant springs.
