Truthfully, the most comfortable and reliable quad i've ever ridden was a 400ex.

Remember that those tapered lugs only work on stock rims. YOu put those on a douglas 190 rim and you'll ruin the rim in no time.

and yes people still spend cash on 400ex's, it's priceless passing 450's....:o

man thats almost like say people still spend money on 250R's

Lately I have been wanting to get a 400ex, i acutally really enjoy riding them, my 450 just wants to be hammered all the time and with a 400 you can just cruise it around

i got the chrome lug nuts off ebay. and when i get the quad-roks ill give these to my brother (he has stock wheels) and ill buy a set that are flat on the back

and so it seems ive gotten alot of money for my birthday and when i get my next check in two weeks im planning on ordering plastic becasue ill have about $600 just dunno which color to go with (im gonna post a poll in the 400ex section so help me pick which)

and tomorrow night i should have some more pics becasue im not going to school so i gonna get the motor in - swing arm on- arms on- and all the motor pieces hooked up (oil tank, exhaust, cooler, wiring and battery stuff)

check the 400ex section for my poll and post some pics of the different color plastic that i list if you would

thanks for the comments

dont forget low maintnence(spelling)
you dont have to change the valves oil etc. as often and the 400ex's are more comfy to me

Something don't sound right here bub. You got a new rebuild in the motor and yet your still on it first oil or so you say. Directly after break in the oil should be changed in a motor then changed very frequently thereafter to maintain proper function. When I read some of these threads I can't help but chuckle. You ask for 3,000 for it then tell people it's on it's first oil change lmao...

that is what they call Priceless fellars.

new motor should be broken in in a few days, then drain the oil to get any particles out that may have been in it. I'm just saying if i get a new topend, i'm out runnin it till i feel comfortable it's broke in in a day or so, then the first thing i do is change the oil. Maybe that's what he meant by that, but it didn't sound like it, just giving my opinion.
