Friend has an '04 4-sale

Tonight I went to my friends house who has an '04 450r. He is offering to sell it to me for $4500. It has a bill balance slip on, k&k flame graphics, AC nerfbars, full skid plates, TAG handle bars, and a 13t front sprocket. This was the first time riding a 450r and it was awesome. If it was during the day, would have been more enjoyable though. The reason for this post, Would this be a good price?

i got my 04 in oct. for 4700 from my friend that rode it like 2 hours it was bone stock so i think that is a cool deal.

thats not too bad of a price if its in good shape....my friends dad goes to a powersport auction every month and you can get 04's for about 2500 there...they'll have like a bent axle or cracked plastic..so if you want one real cheap you should check into that

I almost bought a second R an 05 from a guy in PA he only sold it for 4300$ with a rear link, skids nerf's and a steering damper.


keep looking you can find 04's for 4000$ now with very little done to them.

04 here in Az are between $4800-5200, 05 aren't that much more. I guess it depends on where you live!

A brand new '05 for $5400 before taxes. So I'm guessing the '04 would be a good buy.

I have seen a few 05's sell for 4200-4500$ with some mod's too.
