I have a feeling that if you are the average rider the 700 should be great because it SHOULD be low maintence. The 450 has a bit more spunk but has a bit more maintence because it is a race quad.

If your racing xc I would get the raptor, from what I hear for a extra couple of bucks you can get alot more power out of them. personaly I would get a 450r.
