Yes.

I'd say that guy got a good buy, ZR-1's are going to be VERY valuable cars some day.

Not to mention, to this day they are beasts!

I've only driven a 95 ZR-1, but the one I did drive just straight up pulled!

Do you guys like that 69 jag. i don't think they're gonna get much out of it.

That show is too rich 4 my blood, nice cars on it though. I would definitly take a custom hot rod over most production cars anyday, cheaper too.

what do u guys think the highest sellin car will be????

i'm guessin one of the concepts again... a hemi... or the 53 #003 corvette (1st production one ever)

Yes, some of them are beautiful.

Just not my cup of tea, I would rather have a rare production muscle car. Then a one off custom hot rod.

What can I say, different strokes for different folks.

I think one of the concepts will be the top seller.

Possibly this...

Okay, there are only a few more cars left, none of them to exciting.

I am going to get to bed, so I am not dead for work.

I think we should attempt to make this a sticky, so we can discuss nightly for the duration of the auction.

I know I would enjoy that.

I went to the Barrett Jackson Auction when it came to Toronto a few years ago and the prices that some of these cars were selling for was rediculous . A lot of the guys were getting 10 - 15 000 dollars more than what the cars were worth .

What was happening , was the US buyers bought all the cars , and the following week sold them for even more money when the show moved to Michigan ( or some US state) . I guess thats what happens when exchange rates come into play . Pretty neat to see some very rare muscle cars though . :D

I'd make the trip again this year .

sure i agree with that, my boyfriend and i disagree on cars too. He loves muscle cars, I like them too but would prefer a hotrod, or an older cougar, early 70s, the smaller one. I like odd stuff.

My prediction is the price of the highest selling car this year will be $212,500. not sure what it will be though.

What do you guys think the highest price will be?

I'd have to say aroun the same range ur guessing DVXChic maybe a lil more i dunno its hard to tell.

way over that!!!

i'm guessin min of 500,000 more like a million...

heck the chevelles will go for 300,000 and if theres a good hemi like a cuda or superbee or something with matchin numbers and lower miles ur lookin at 400,000

I enjoy watching the Barrett Jackson auction and drooling...

Heres some good reading if youre interested about the auction
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/about/legacy.asp

And heres where it is held. You can rent the big tent yourself if you have the green. The City of Scottsdale, AZ owns Westworld and rents it out. On the right are links to different areas of Westworld that you can rent and fees to use it. Heres the link to the Main tent.

That is my EXACT same car for the exception of in 67 you could get the color combo of either Marina blue w/ the white stripe and white interior. Or the Marina blue w/ the black strip and blue interior.

Obviously that one has the white mine is the black. The paddle dropped on that one for 113k I think. So mine would bring right around that.

Here are some pics of mine:

I am

However, they save all the good ones for the weekend.

The ones going up now are the "affordable" ones.

on Saturday an L-88 Corvette will be going off, I am very curious to see what that brings.

And I wanna see what all the other 67 big block vettes bring to know how much mine is worth.

dude some of these that are selling for under $50g's is absolutly crazy...i would rather buy 12 of them rather then an enzo, it would be almost the same amount...seriously some of them are cheap, some expensive.

anyone know if it comes to Jersey?

What Barrett Jackson??

No, It is only in Arizona and Florida. They only have it twice a year.

And price wise, I personally think MOST of these cars are overpriced.

That is what happens when you fill a room with rich men stick a TV camera in there and have an open bar in the back, Egos go through the roof.

I started cracking up when I saw that.

I saw that car race at Atco Raceway here in NJ in 1976, and the funny thing about all that is.

That is a non- numbers matching car, that car was raced for most of its life, and then in the early 90's was COMPLETELY rebuild and a new engine was put in it.

Some moron just paid 1 mil for a non- numbers matching car. Like do these guys even look into the cars they are putting this money down on or do they just throw money out there.

The other one was the 427 horse 65 Vette covert with air that was advertised that went for 175k.. The only problem with that in the 427, air was not an option.

They have both of my same exact cars there already sold (67 vette, 69 Judge) and the 67 vettes have been getting BIG money!

i just added everything up.

The 69 Judge went for 113,500

And the 67 Vette with the same color combo as mine went for 205,000

Total: $318,500

This is great, just keeps bringing the price of my car up and up.. I paid 65k for my Judge 3 years ago. It is now into 6 figures.

Maybe I will just go to Barrett Jackson next year and retire early.

My GTO is in better condition than the one auctioned off.

And my Vette is about equal to all the ones that went off.

I went 2 years ago to Barrett Jackson, and the way they have the lighting set up on the stage and the tv angles, it makes the cars look alot nicer than they are.

Believe me, they are all beautiful, but not as perfect as they appear. My Judge is without a doubt nicer, it only has 55 original miles and is a two owner car.
