The previous owner of my banshee melted his nylon pants on both FMF chrome pipes, anyone here know how i can remove that without scratching the sh*t out of it?

Melted half a shoe sole onto my dads harley pipes. No idea how he got it off though:confused: I think he used very smooth steel wool and some kind of cleaner.

steel wool.
If there is a lot I would use a razor blade and be vary carful when it get down close to the pipe use steel wool and goof off.

I burnt my pants on my sparks pipe. The **** that was on there was about 1/4 inch thick. I took sand paper to it until it was about a 1/16" down and used steel wool until I got to the pipe. Then i used ivory cloth and then buffed it the polished it.

I've got layers of jeans and shoes burnt to my CT. I usually just ride until it burns itself off lol. :p

not sure this will work, just a thought, but maybe if you got the pipes really hot again, it would melt again and get soft so you could rub/ scrape it off alot easier, thats what i would try
