ive really seen them only on mx quads, and yes you will need to run differnt a-arms. if ur getting a set of PEPs then i would run the zps arc style there the best of the best.

telling someone they need a set of $1200 custom axis shocks because "there the best of the best" without knowing anything about the bike, rider, or type of riding is like wiping before you poop... it just doesn't make sense. i had works on my 250x and they were great for my ability then and the type of riding i was into. i've got pep limited mass on my 250r and still to this day can't justify spending the $$ to have axis......although i used to dream about it.

but to answer your Q, turbo 450r is right......long travel shocks are designed for extended a-arms which are predominately in the mx circuit. no need for longtravel in TT and no need for +3 arms in XC

You have to run long travel style aarms with PEP LT shocks. If your getting PEP's get the 8 click big bottles. There is nothing wrong with Elka or Axis though. Ive ridden all three and they are all great, but i like the feel of PEP's prefferably.

To give an idea of my riding ability i run near the front at national cross country racing (enduro) over here but dont want to run longer a arms than standard as our circuits are tight at times lots of trees and stumps in woods i also run ltz 400 with set of elka,s which are great looked to see if they would fit the 06 450 yam but there longer so would this be the same as long travel peps for the yam my dealer told me i dont have to have longer a arms just have to have different mounting position on a arms ie, lonestar, what ive got in mind is using the ltz 400 elka,s on the yam if anyone knows if this will work many thanks tubo.....
