3rd gear

first, second, fourth, and fifth are all fine on my 400EX, but when i shift into 3rd gear things grind and it sounds like something spinning off....i can't go in 3rd....it just grinds, more like it clunks. what could this be?

Probaly your tranny.

could it be the shift fork?

You'll have to take it apart to findout for sure, but probaly the gear, maybe the fork...
