Ive got a JE 13:1 piston that is thermal coated but have yet to put it in.... when i put it in, im going to port and polish the head too. I was just wondering for those of you that have this combination, was there a big "seat of the pants" difference???
Im just excited guys, so give me some insight! :D

Thanks

I put the 13-8-1 in and it was a huge dif. The thing was actual hard to hold on to. I got tired alot faster until i got use to it

I have a 13:1 JE thermal coated with Rossier port and polish, I am also running an HRC cam and a Rossier full pipe and Sparks racing filter. I love power gains from my piston and port and polish.

I loved the power i got with the JE 13:1. Great power gains everywhere. Big "seat of the pants" difference.

I went with the 11.5:1 piston on my 2004 and I could tell a diff in the seat of my pants. HRC CAM, HMF slip on, ESR rev box, 13tooth front sprocket. Really gave it more snap.

I like what I hear so far. But there has to be more people out there with the piston/port and polish combo. Come on People!! :D I wanna hear all of your comments.

The combination will rip your arms off. It is especially awsome on starts. Theres nothing like holding the throttle wide open dumping the clutch and shooting off the line like a rocket! It also awsome coming out of turns, when it hooks up your gone. I hope you plan on doing some suspension work because with all that motor your going to need a good way to put it to the ground. To sum it all up there's nothing like riding a full blown 450, its almost as if words could not describe it.

i hope that did it for ya lmao!!!:eek2:

I'm going with almost the same setup except I'm not getting a port and polish right now. I'm adding a 13:1 JE and a Rossier shorty exhaust. How much more of a power gain will the port/polish make when I do decide to get it. And how fast will this make my 450 go with the 13:1 JE piston, Rossier exhaust, HRC cam, top speed that is. I'm trying to get my 450 to the 90mph range. Thanks for the help.

Top end speed will not really be affected by things such as cam, HC piston, exhaust, filter, or port and polish. Most top end speed difference comes from things such as gearing, rpms, turbo, nos.... ect. i think? haha... thanks everyone :D
