i was looking at the wiseco 440 bigbore kit for my z400 and had a few questions about it. will my bike still be reliable with the kit?
would i be able to use premium pump gas with it? are their any drawbacks to a 440 kit i should know about?

the kit comes with gaskets/clips/ect, 94.5mm piston and a new sleeve to match. for 250 bucks is sounds like a good deal. any help appreciated.

If you use 11:1 compression you should be able to get by w/ premium pump gas.

I have same kit for the 400ex. Very reliable. My mods are in my sig.

Get cams to really wake it up. XRS71X is right on the gas question. I started with 11:1(what came with the kit) and ran 93 pump gas. GReat running bike. I needed more power so I went to 12:5 comp and bigger carb. I run 50/50 mix now just to be safe.
If you do it right and get the right componets and get the jetting right it will be reliable. Get a full exhaust too. No reason going bigger bore just to have it. All you will do is choke the bike. The cams and Exhaust make the 440 kit what they are...
