Seeing how your name is iceracer, I have some question for you. What kind of tires do you run for ice racing? How many studs do run in each stud? We are experimenting with different tires, tried mxklaws and the back worked great, but the front left someting to be desired they pushed hard in the corners, but we are going to modify them and try them again. So for we found that wooly booger cheng shin replica front tires hook up, and corner really well, but we need different options.

For rear tires use the Chen Shin Ice tire. For front tires, now dont laugh, use 3 rib tractor tires. I can let you know what size and brand to order if you want. I also put nylon nuts on each screw sticking through the carcass of the tire. This will help stop air leakage and stop screws from ripping out of the tire. This setup will last for years instead of replacing your ice tires every year. Whatever you do dont let your studs come in contact with anything that will dull them.

most of the fast guys use chen chin rears that are made for studding up. on the front they use fast trakkers.

notice that there are only 2 studs per lug on the front and one stud per lug on the rear. its easy to get carried away ;)

with a properly set of studded tires, the traction is actually better than black top, making it hard to even spin the wheels.

check out the lean angle of the bikes!:eek2: :eek2:

I use to 3 rib tractor tires back in the early 90's.You only stud the outside 2 ribs on the right and inside 2 on the left. They worked awsome until you got out of the groove. Now i run old lt500 replica fronts.
Here's a pic of a tire i use to run also and was going to give a shot with it at the national,if it ever gets cold enough in time,it has 628 studs.Otherwise the cheng shins will be on.
