Hydro clutch

Does anyone have or have used a hydrolic clutch on there quad? I am interested in getting one cause my CR500 clutch springs kill my hand. My dad is telling me it will have an all or nothin feel and will make it hard to slip to keep the revs up. Is this true? Do you know of any cheap dirt bike to quad conversions or whould I be better betting the already made set-ups? Would I be better off going to the works connection perch instead?

i've got a magura hydraulic clutch lever. it is flat out awesome. some people say they're not very responsive, but i would say it's totally opposite and very responsive. i can use it to get the revs up when going into a corner and pop out just fine. i got mine for racing to get rid of arm pump and it worked.

the only downside to this thing is cost, around $200, but unless you wreck and break it, you'll never have to buy another one.

I have one and your dad could not be any more wrong it is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I love it you can put as tight of spings in as you want and you will not notice it. It becames very easy to slip the clutch. In fact i find my self doing it a little too much. I burn up plates quit quickly. I would definatlly suggest getting one.

I'll never go back! If you get the chance, get the steel braided line for it, I feel like I might break or burn the line that came with the Magura.

I have one on mine i race harescrambles unbelieveable performance do the math i think a works connection perch is 120$ i paid 189 for mine way better.

well, i hav the magura too, and my brother has a pep on his blaster, the pep feels all mushy (hard to explain), and a pain to ajust, the magura has the same feel throughtout the pull, and it ajusts itself by itself (like freeplay)

Now thats what I thought. It would be like having a cable with no drag and an absolutly solid feel to it. I'm definatly getting one now as soon as I got the cash!!!!!

It seems to me I have the exact same control, or ratio of pull that the stock cable system does. In other words its not an all or nothing control. Ask your dad if he has all or nothing feel on his cars breaks.

Mushyness is caused by air in the line, causing it to compress the air before forcing the fluid down to the rezy to open the slave cylinder. Or a bulge in the line. Your buddy should try to blead the system.

Also, I dont know of any conversions. I know its expensive, but if mine were to break, I'd buy another one before going back to stock!

I have one on my R, they are great, no down sides at all! One finger pull no problem. We will be putting one on the CRF too.
They don't make one for the 300ex yet.
