i'm liking both ims bumpers..........but ims classic looks a little big......can't tell that well from the pic.

i'm looking for a nice looking bumper that doesn't cover my entire front end.

KOG, I paid right around $90.00 for the bumper.

Force, The bumper really offers good protection to the front end...Not as good as most PRM bumpers but i didn't want this huge contraption hanging off the front of my bike:p I would say it's middle of the road for protection.. It's not tiny like the other IMS bumper or the Duncan bumper but not overly gaudy like some of the PRM and DG stuff. IMO
And no i have not thought about a # plate on the front of it.. I have the hood # plate plus i don't really want to block airflow to the radiator:ermm: I know it wouldn.t be much of a blockage but.........

Right now it's polished sitting on the floor awaiting my quad rebuild:cool:

cb450r do you have a pattern made for the cuts on your fenders? It looks good. I wanted to cut mine but wasnt sure what line to make. I didnt want them to look like crap.

Yeah i made templates when i cut them.. In the pics they look somewhat uneven but it must be the light hitting them or something because they are 100% identical to each other:ermm:
I measured and re-measured and then re-measured again before cutting when i had them taped and templated... I still have yet to see any others cut like mine:o

Thanks man.. You should see it when it gets put back together:eek2: right now it is a bazillion pieces on my basement floor. Pappy is getting my frame and a couple of other parts to bling for me:D Thanks Pappy!
Plus i have put the polish to some others.

So far the graphics are holding up pretty good, The only problem spot i have is the right top tank, it started to pull away from the tank on me:ermm: I am sure it was my fault... (shouldn't have used that hair dryer) other then that i do get air bubbles not really sure if that is a fixable problem. I am pretty sure that all graphic kits do this.

And yeah you could have that bumper in any color you want....JUST SEND IT TO PAPPY:D

i know i'm probably going to get flamed by some people for saying this, but IMO buying a bumper is all about looks.....not function. I don't plan on hitting anything with my bumper. Sure accidents happen. But, if you're smacking stuff with your bumper all the time, you're probably not a very good rider. Or, you're riding over your head. Just my take on "bumper purchases".

therefore, i won't a bumper that looks cool. not one that is big enough for me to duck my head behind, when rocks are fyling.

My bumpers have been smashed twice. Both times by someone not use to the power my 450r has.

The stock r bumper you can bend with your hands its that weak.

In fact the one on my R in those pic's was smashed as well but I straitened it. That is why I want another, cause it survived the headon crash and being bent back into its original shape.

This was after the crash, it wasn't horribly bent but still was bent.

i had a IMS classic and it didnt hold up too well when coming in contact with trees, so if you're racing cross country i would recommend something else
