We just pulled both of our 2004 YFZ engines - the cases on our engines have never even been cracked - and after racing hard on them for two years and duning........everything inside looked awesome!! Pistons, rings, valves, shift forks....gears.....everything was in great shape!! And this is even without the oil mod.......
Yamaha has done their homework and I am happy to say it seems their '01 Rappy days are far behind them........
But mostly, it shows what a regular maintenance schedule, frequent oil and filter changes and running stock engine components can do in terms of reliability.......a little maintenance goes a LONG way!!!:macho
