dynojet and exhaust

I just put a curtis sparks exhaust with a dyno jet. Question how much of a difference is it suppose to make performance wise? And it had 2 stages for the dyno jet. I put the 1st one on just cause i didnt now i was suppose to have it just to ride with the exhaust. But should i take the time and go ahead and put the 2nd stage on? Any comments can help. thanks

The difference in the different stages is with an Airbox Lid On(Stage 1) and Off(stage 2). Do you have the airbox lid on or off?
What is your elevation?

With the Dynojet kit I would say 2.5-3 turns out on the mixture screw, dynojet needle in the 4th position from top, and a 170-175 dynojet main with the lid Off.

With the lid On: 2-2.5 turns out, 3rd from top on the needle, 160 main

Once jetted correctly I would say HP wise you would see 37-38hp
You have an 05' or 06' trx?

i had the 116 main jet and the needle on the 3rd from top. Now today i put the 170 main on. left the airbox lid on. Question after i get past the power band what is makeing it lug so much. is it like its not getting enough air or is it getting to much fuel? by the way i have a 04 450r. But like i said info is everything to me. thanks again.

with the airbox lid on a 170 is way too big. lose the lid and it will probably be right on

if i leave the e clip on the 3rd notch down and put the 170 and take the lid of should it run right?

I have an 05' and just bought a hmf full system. i gota dyno jet kit.
I put in a 180 turned the air/fuel 2.5 turns out and left everything else stock. i cut my airbox lid like the hrc lid and it runs perfect. I am also in arkansas so its gona be 3000 or below.
