What is the point of removing the choke? How does it help?

Thanks

It is just a nuissance you get better air/gas flow without it .
More air/gas = more power.:D
would you like the mod done ?

Will it work on the 400ex carburator? And what else can you do to a stock carb? I heard that a modified carburator will perform as well as the aftermarket carbs, especially if you bore it out. Does anyone know who does this kind of work on carbs?

I remove the chock and take out the notches behind the choke , what nacs does is different they bore the carb I remove choke and the notches.
together they probraly make the best gain

Remember to plug the hole back up after you remove the choke lever. I used some silicone gasket sealant. Just my 2 cts.

I already removed my choke but I was curious about the fins. do they really hurt anything and is there any gains in power from removing them? I cant see that they could cause that much of flow restriction to hurt anything.

i just took out everything, then took off the little yellow piece and plugged the hole with that. quicker, easier, and it works
