yzf450 or 450r??? help a guy out

well... the 400 is givin a bit of trouble. im actually pondering the idea of upping the anty and goin for a new 450 just not sure on which one...

i really love the ergos of my 400, which of the 450s will i feel more comfortable on in comparison to the EX. ive head the yzf isnt so hot for trail riding. this true?

anyway shoot out there the pros and cons for me id appreciate it.

also, im sure this topic has been beat to death before. if someone cant point me into the direction to another thread on this topic thatd be just as easy too.. thanks

they are pretty close this year. the honda is overall more comfortable for most and is now available with electric start. the yami hits harder but both can handle about anything you throw at em.


id go with the r if i had my choice

I have a yfz and love it to death. Its light enough if u ever got hung up on somthing u can lift it over ur self. Id get the yfz and they also repsond to mods awesomee!

I pefer the honda over the yamaha, they are almost matched in power and such but I'm a pretty tall lanky guy and I really dont feel right on a yfz, the bars would have to be 2 inches higher or so. The 450r feels really nice, the tank is awesome as well you can really grab a hold of it in the air.

Before this week I would have bought a 450r for for woods, but now that I have some time in the woods on the yfz. I would get a yfz for that too. The 06 yfz's are a lot more comfortable then the 04-05's.

I got tired of putting money in my 400 so I upped the anti myself.

I have had both..... YFZ is faster everywhere if that matters. R was more comfortable. Your choice!
