Cam upgrade

i have an '01 400ex STOCK
the timing chain is stretched i think so i figured what the heck while i'm in there, can i install a cam on a stock engine with stock jetting and exhaust? if not what is the minimum
(jet kit,filter,exhaust) these are all future plans.

I dont see why you wouldnt do it since you are putting a timing chain in there anyways

hey you might want to put a crf450 (dirtbike) timing chain in there I heard they were better tan stock

and whay not go ahed and bore it over .040 with a new piston and make it into a 406 EX it is a 01 and you will probably need to rebuild it soon

so why dont you kill a couple of birds with 1 stone

kinda low on cash but a high comp piston is a good idea!
