I know its a little early to be thinking of this in Michigan but here it goes anyway. I have an 06 450r and was in need of rear sand tires. What do you guys recomend?? I was thinkin skat-trak haulers but not sure what others worked well or the sizing that i should go with. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

8 paddle Haulers is what you should get!

And also its comes down to personal preferance! Do some research to find out the difference between hualers, and sand starts and the v tread type they do different things. And have different preformance values.

Haulers have the best straight line performace of any sand tire. The bad part is that they pucture fairly easy and dont handle curves as well as the V paddles. Depends how you ride. I like as much traction as I can get, so I would buy the Haulers.

6 or 7 paddle Haulers are more then enough for a 450R no matter how much its got done to it.

See thats the thing, I never have had sand tires on a quad before. Always lived to far away to ride dunes so I'm not sure what i would perfer. I'm more of a recreational rider, no real drag racing in mind. But from what is mentioned I'll be better off going with sand stars or something like that. Am I making the right assumption?? Silver lake is where I'll be riding if that makes a difference.

Depends on what you like, really. For you, some type of tire like sand stars or Maxxis Pro Pellers should work well. Don't try drag tracing anyone with them though. I did, and to put it simply, I won't again without straight paddles. They hook well, but not nearly as well as a straight. For all out driving, like with alot of turning and various types like that.... the Maxxis Pro Pellers work pretty decent.
