Power Delay

Hey when im riding my quad if u give it a lot of gas it will hit like 1 second later. It doesnt bog down or anything the power is just delayed. What could this be?

mine does that too....try adjusting your idle screw on the bottom of the carb. spray some carb cleaner in your carb when its runinng too...you need to expose the the carb so the airbox has to come off :( ....try that

Check the accelerator pump adjustment. If it doesnt bog, I believe its not getting enough initial fuel during the pump shot. The accelerator pump is adjusted by bending a tab spacing on the plate thingy. Damn I cant really remember, been using an Edlebrock Qwicksilver for a while now. It adjusts with a screw on the outside.

BTW, 4-strokes use an accelerator pump for an initial squirt of fuel when you bang on the gas for quick throttle response.

Anyone else help this guy with his adjustment?

ok anyone know where this adjustment is.

not really sure about the accelerator pump, but make sure your throttle cable is tight and in full adjustment. Air filter may be clogged also. Just a few simple things that are easy to overlook.
