Wider A-Arms/Swingarm?

I was wondering how much to extend the a-arms and swingarm for MX? i was thinking maybe 3" in the back and 5" in the front?
and by 5" i mean about 2.5" on each side

any help would be great.

it is usually opinion. alot of people run a +3 setup on the front (+6 overall) and a +4 rear axle (2" per side)
