HELP!!!My 06 doesnt run, trying to hook up start switch?

Well i was hooking up my pro design kill switch and one of the wires going to start switch got frayed and touched the hot wire and blewmy fuse. So I i figured i would cut everything off and simply wire in a dirtbike kill switch to start the machine. So i cut all the wires and the dirtbike kill switch only has one wire going to it .( you wire in the hot wire to it) Now... i did this and it does nothing, when i put the ground coming from the harness that should of went to the start button to the handlebars or anything metal it blows the fuse instantly. Now my question is do i need a kill switch with 2 wires and wire that ground to the ground on the bike or what? I was supposed to race tomorrow, i went to practice sunday and while on the line i blew a fuse and had to drive an hour home without even riding. I was very very mad but its my own fault. Guys i really need help. :confused:

if your touching a wire to ground and it blows the fuse then your grounding a hot wire not the ground wire , if you don't have the 06 manual let me know i'll look in the wiring diagram when i get home tonite . do you have a dvom?(voLt,ohm tester ).

yeah ground was touching bare metal i got r done she runs now :D

where can i get an 06 repair manual, i didnt know they were out already?

you have to use a kx kill button

got the 06 manual from helm incorporated its an actual honda manual for 04-06
