please ONLY respond if you know factual answers... thanx... Is Alky same reliable as racegas?? howmuch faster does alky burn than 92 octane?? what should I know about it? where do ya get it? oh and how many more hp will it give me with my 416 and lectron alky carb?? than just a racegas with the 416 and regular lectron?? anything else I should know I would love to hear... BTW this will be for dune riding only...

You would need much higher compression and burn roughly twice as much. The advantage comes from the higher compression and cooling effects of alcohol. It would be a dog compared to race fuel if you don't change your compression ratio.

Gas: Stoichiometric is 14:1
Alcohol: Stoich is 7:1 and you generally run RICH to prevent burnt valves and pistons.

Our local dragstrip sells Alcohol race fuel and 110 octance race fuel. I think it's 4 or 5 bucks per gallon for either. I've used Avgas...100 octane LEADED fuel for race cars. 3 bucks/gallon at local small airport.
