450R Oil on 2006

Okay here we go I used Mobil Red Cap 15w-50 synthetic on my 400ex which everybody on this web sight said it was great for the 400ex. Now can i use this on the engine side of my 450r when I switch to a syn oil? For the trans side I used honda HP Trans oil one dealer told me to use bell ray gear saver any thoughts would be great. How much trans oil do you put in??

Same thing happened to me my first oil change you look in the window it is over then I took oil out and re-changed it now it is only half up the window. The manuel says fill to High level mark then says if oil is half in window between h/l mark that is good.

Mobil Red Cap 15w-50 synthetic will work just fine that is what most people on here use to run but they quit making it!!!

honda HP Trans for the Trans works good!

you manual will tell you about how much it should take. both sides are less than a quart. on my 04

You can still get it here but maybe knot for long.(mobil 15-50)is that true!!!!!! I like that oil alot, run it in my CRF and plan on running it in my trx. Why would they stop making a good oil like that.Maybe there replacing it with something better!!!!!! :( :ermm: :D

since they stopped making it I now run the mobile 1 (gold cap) 15-50 fully synthetic in my 450r and it works awesome too. Its that 15,000 mile oil at walmart

ams oil 10w40 full synthetic is great oil too.

i run the silver honda bottle on my engine side, and the 80/85 weight 2 stroke high performance oil on the transmission side, it allows it to shift a little easier, and perform better

rite on the side of your transmission case were you put the oil in it will say how many cc you need to put in like for my bike i put in 750cc and it helps if you have a ratio rite to mesure the amount u put in to it
