For christmas i got a visa type card with 30 bucks on it from a family member. So i got to thinking i would get something from magic racing for my quad. I ended up getting an outerwears airbox cover to add to keeping my k&n clean. I was wondering if anybody has used one? How do they stay on? I'm sure it will help keep the sand out of my airbox. Usually when i get done riding i have to get about a cup of sand out of my airbox.

I've used them before and a couple guys on my race team use one. Ill probably end up picking one up for my 450 now too for snow riding. They are held on by velcro I believe on the sides of the airbox. They stay on pretty good actually. Good cheap investment.

i had the EHS one, its basically the same but it is an airbox lid with a big oval cut out and an outerwears cover. but they work great!

I put mine on by putting the lid on (with the centers cut out so its like not having a lid on) the I put the outerwear on then buckle the lid down. That way you dont have to worry about velcro coming loose and getting dust and mud in the box. I looked into an ehs lid but didnt see the pont in spending the money for the same thing that I have now. $15 compared to a $75 lid.

Here is mine. I actually like it better than the EHS cover. I just made it out of plexiglass and spraypainted the underside with metallic silver paint. Works perfect!!

I got it at lowe's. It was already cut to about 6x8 or so. I actually thought about having a bunch cut out and selling them. Would be cheaper than the EHS lid thats for sure.
