First 400, Help!!

Is there any must haves or gotta do's for the 400. I just bought my first one, a red 06. I was going to get the bad lookin black one, but every body told me that the black scrathes real easy.
Any and all replys will be greatly appreciated.

1. steering stabilizer
1.5 a full chassis skid palte and .250 thick swing arm skid plate(if riding trails)
2. gt thinder rear link or a good eftermarket shock
3. good aftermarket front shocks
4. pipe, air filter and rejet
that will make it a totally different nad much improved machine...the 400 is good as it is, but this makes it a lot better...
